Council Approves First Reading of Traffic Bylaw 1419/18

Administrator Account 0 262

During the regular September 11 Council meeting, Council approved first reading of the proposed Traffic Bylaw 1419/18. The current bylaw in place relating to “Regulating traffic within the boundaries of Sturgeon County” was last reviewed and approved in 2013. As part of regular department activities, reviews of bylaws are undertaken to ensure Sturgeon County’s current bylaw(s) are consistent with recently established Provincial legislation, policies, and procedures.

Once comments are collected and considered, additional amendments may be brought forth to Council for consideration and second and third readings will be scheduled.

Copies of the proposed changes are available at County Centre and online by clicking here.

For more information please contact Peace Officer Supervisor, Ken Lauinger at 780-939- 8418 or Protective Services Manager, Pat Mahoney at 780-939-8411.
