Subdivision and Development Appeal Board
The Subdivision and Development Appeal Board is a quasi-judicial board that plays an important role in helping Sturgeon County meet its obligations under the Municipal Government Act. This board includes public member representatives who hear appeals regarding proposed subdivision of lands or other development activities.
The board meets as required and only if appeals are filed by the proposed land developer or other parties affected by the development. Members are compensated for their time at meetings.
People who have served on the board have found it to be a great way to learn more about municipal property development and how various boards and committees support Council. Review the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Bylaw for more information.
