Community Recreation Facility Investment

Sturgeon County is engaging with residents about our investment in the Community Recreation Facility

“This is your opportunity to provide your thoughts on wise investment solutions.”

The Town of Morinville has approved a business case for the construction of a Community Recreation Facility. Construction of Phase One, which includes an arena and fieldhouse, has begun. Sturgeon County Council now needs to make decisions about their investment and support for this facility.

We have options for investment. Sturgeon County wants to hear from as many residents and perspectives as possible from across the County regardless of where you live and what your recreation choices are.

How To Participate

There are three different ways to provide your input:

Participate in drop-in workshops throughout Sturgeon County at the time and location most convenient for you. Come at any time during these hours and stay as long as you’d like. There will be information about the facility and how recreation decisions are made and opportunities for you to contribute your perspectives on wise investment approaches. These are family friendly events, children are welcome and there will be activities for them.
