Deputy Mayor October 29 to June 2014

Karen Shaw

Re-elected Councillor Karen Shaw was elected to her first term on Sturgeon County Council in 2007. She believes that community input is an important component of a strong and sustainable community and welcomes and encourages open dialogue with Sturgeon County residents. When she is away from Council Chambers, Councillor Shaw raises livestock and volunteers with numerous local agencies, including the Bon Accord 4H Beef Club. In her spare time, she spends time outdoors, playing sports and riding horses.

In addition to her role on Council, Councillor Shaw serves on the following Committees:

  • Agriculture Service Board
