The Assessment Services department collects data and conducts analysis to establish and support accurate, fair, and equitable property assessments. Additionally, this information is utilized to assist internal stakeholders with decision making and establishing the annual tax rate.
Sturgeon County uses a property assessment process as established by the provincial government to ensure all property owners pay their fair share of municipal and provincial education property taxes. Combined assessment and tax notices are sent out in late May.
