Every year, Sturgeon County Youth Council presents the Building Blocks of the Community Award to adults or organizations that have made a positive impact on Sturgeon County youth. This year, they've decided to open up the nominations to include youth in the community as well!
Do you know anyone who deserve to be recognized? Send an email with your nomination, including why you think they should be recognized, to Ruth Kieser by April 1. The person selected will be recognized at a Volunteer Appreciation event.
JET - Job Experience Training (Ages 12-17)
Gain valuable work experience through volunteering with Sturgeon County’s Summer Programs as a JET this summer! As a JET, you will experience a job interview, attend fun trainings to grow your leadership skills, connect with like-minded people, and more. Aside from attending the provided trainings, you only need to work FIVE shifts throughout the summer.
But don’t worry, we work around your availability so you can still enjoy your summer! Additionally, the JET program also works with high schools through the high school work experience credit program where you can earn up to 3 credits towards your high school diploma!
Stay tuned for next year's program!
