Land Use Bylaw

What happens on the ground

The Land Use Bylaw (LUB) outlines all land use districts and is an important tool for implementing the policies of the MDP, ASP’s and other Council approved policy documents. The LUB regulates and controls the use and development of all land and buildings within the county to eliminate land use conflicts through striking a balance between what landowners are able to do to improve their lands without impacting their neighbours or vice versa. It also establishes the structure for development permit and subdivision decision making process.
