A great addition to Sturgeon County!

The Protective Service Headquarters Building (PSHQ) officially opened December 2015, with the official ribbon cutting ceremony on June 11, 2016.

Project Background:

In 2014, Council approved the purchase of land south of highway 37. The location is ideal for servicing the Sturgeon Valley with Fire Protection Services and the close proximity to Highway 37 allows rapid response to other areas in Sturgeon County. Council awarded the tender for construction of the new Sturgeon County Protective Services Building, replacing the current Namao Fire hall, to PCL Construction. This facility supports the current and future needs of the County.

Having an appropriate facility will positively enhance Sturgeon County’s ability to execute across many aspects of Protective Services Mandate across the entire County.
