Project Details:

This summer, more work is being done to improve drainage along Range Road 250. Some of this work involves assessing drainage patterns and cleaning out and widen ditches in several areas. The project is scheduled to be completed next year.

The work is being done to address three watercourses:
1)    Watercourse #1: This section follows along and crosses the roadway of Range Road 250. See map attached. In previous years, overland flooding was observed adjacent to TWP RD 552 and RGE RD 250, and upstream as far as Cardiff Park.  After studying the land and drainage patterns, it was noted that there is an opportunity to improve water conveyance by cleaning out vegetation and widening the drainage channel from SW-18 south to 55021 RR 250. This is a multi-year project that will finish in 2011
2)    Watercourse #2: Work planned for 2021 includes cleaning out the drainage channel within SW-7 and NE-7, and SE-18 to ensure positive drainage.
3)    Watercourse #3: Work on this portion was finished in 2020.  This year, the area will be monitored and if any issues will be addressed.

See the maps attached for details about each watercourse addressed in this project.

Information Session

An information session was hosted on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 6 p.m. to discuss the project, introduce the project team and provide an opportunity for residents to ask any questions about the work.
