Alberta Transportation Projects 2022

BRIDGE MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS ON HWY 2 NEAR MORINVILLE OVERPASS - as posted on the  Alberta Edmonton Traffic | 511 Alberta 

 

UPDATE:  Bridge Construction:  Highway 15 from the City of Fort Saskatchewan across the North Saskatchewan River into Sturgeon County across Lamoureux Drive – 2019 to 2022

Scope of Work:

  • Bridge construction over the North Saskatchewan River
  • Traffic Accommodation Strategy includes partial and full road closures
  • Advance warning will be in place

Duration: October 2022 


Road Construction:

Highway 825 Widening from Range Road 225 north to Township Road 553

Component A:  COMPLETE

Highway 825:  Widening from Township Road 552  to Hwy 643

Component B:  Scope of work

  • Grade widening, intersection improvements, climbing lanes
  • Design being finalized and the tentative schedule for construction is 2022

Duration: Tentatively 2022


Road Construction:  Highway 28A between Highway 37 and Highway 28 - In Progress

Scope of Work:

  • Includes 13 km of repaving
  • Intersection upgrades
  • Signals and lighting upgrades in the Town of Gibbons, enhance public safety

Duration:  Summer 2021 to fall of 2022
