AGRICULTURAL SERVICE BOARD

Agricultural Service Board Terms of Reference

To make recommendations to Council on matters pertaining to Agriculture, including: weed control, pest control, and soil and water conservation programs.

Agricultural Service Board meets six Wednesdays per year at 9 a.m.


ASSESSMENT REVIEW BOARD

Assessment Review Board Bylaw

An independent tribunal that hears complaints relating to property assessments made by Sturgeon County, and renders decisions based on the evidence presented.

CALAHOO-VILLENEUVE SAND AND GRAVEL ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Calahoo-Villeneuve Sand and Gravel Advisory Committee Terms of Reference

To review and address all matters relating to sand and gravel extraction and processing in the Calahoo-Villeneuve area and its impact on the community.

Provide advice to Council about Economic Development.

COMMUNITY SERVICES ADVISORY BOARD

Community Services Advisory Board Terms of Reference

To make recommendations to Council on matters pertaining to Parks and Recreation, Cultural, Family and Community Support Services and Library Services.

MEMBERSHIP

6 Public Members (one from each electoral division)

Community Services Advisory Board meets the second Monday of every month at 7 p.m.


RIVER VALLEY ALLIANCE - ADVISORY BOARD

River Valley Alliance - Advisory Board Terms of Reference

Promotes the River Valley Alliance Vision to the region and advises the Board of Directors and other River Valley related organizations on matters related to local issues or trends pertinent to the Capital Region River Valley Park.

SUBDIVISION AND DEVELOPMENT APPEAL BOARD 

Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Bylaw

The Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) hears and makes decisions on appeals related to Stop Orders, Development and Subdivisions. A decision related to a development permit application can be appealed by people who may be affected by a decision of the Development Authority. Whereas a decision related to a subdivision application can be appealed by the applicant, government department or a school board.
