Glory Hills Playground Replacement Project

In the summer of 2020, Sturgeon County removed the existing play equipment from the Glory Hills Park. The old equipment had become unsafe and needed replacement.

Due to an administrative oversight and ongoing issues surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the County did not inform citizens of the removal of this equipment. This was a mistake.

We sincerely apologize for the lack of community engagement regarding the removal of the playground equipment.

Have your say

  • In-person meeting. There is an initial meeting for community members scheduled for October 13 at 6:00 pm. The meeting will take place in-person at the Glory Hills Park following all social distance COVID-19 protocol. County staff will be on hand to explain the situation and to hear resident concerns and ideas.
  • Tell us your ideas. Over the fall and winter of 2020, Sturgeon County encourages Glory Hills residents to send in your concerns, thoughts, and ideas for the new play equipment at the Glory Hills Park. Responses are being considered via email at srodda@sturgeoncounty.ca or by phoning 780-939-8369
