Assessment Review Board
The Assessment Review Board is a quasi-judicial board that plays an important role in helping Sturgeon County meet its obligations under the Municipal Government Act. This board includes public member representatives who hear appeals regarding property assessment.
The board meets as required and only if assessment appeals are filed by residents. Members are paid for attending meetings per the Board and Committee Public Member Remuneration Policy. Serving on the Assessment Review Board is a great way to learn more about municipal property assessment and the role of boards and committees in supporting Council decisions. The Assessment Review Board is made up of six public members. Term of membership for public members is three (3) years and begins on January 1 of the given year.

The Board meets as required.
