On October 13, 2020, Sturgeon County Council were updated on the County's ongoing COVID-19 response, approved an updated Community Grant Policy, and discussed ways to celebrate the community's many volunteers.

On September 22, Sturgeon County Council approved the annexation agreement with St. Albert, announced a second round of engagement for the Resource Extraction Review, and reviewed the results of the broadband internet survey.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to protect the health and safety of the public, Public Hearings are being held via teleconference and livestreamed during the Regular Council meeting. Please see the hearing notice for more information.


All interested parties are encouraged to express their views by providing a written submission to Legislative Services by email at legislativeservices@sturgeoncounty.ca. Written submissions will be accepted up to the close of the Public Hearing.

In order to speak at the Public Hearing, you must register to speak 24 hours prior to the Public Hearing. Please contact Legislative Services by email or at 780-939-8279 or 780-939-8277 to register. Speakers will be given a 5-minute time limit.


Public Hearing Notices are advertised locally in the Morinville Free Press and Redwater Review for two consecutive weeks immediately prior to the Public Hearing.
