Project Details

Glenview:
This summer, work will begin on drainage improvements in the Glenview area. Residents may notice survey activities and inspections in the areas. The project involves assessing the existing wetlands and constructing a drainage ditch along Rge Rd 245 north to Cutbank lake to provide the wetlands with a location to overflow. The design is not yet complete as we assess the feasibility of options in creating the drainage outlet to Cutbank Lake.

The improvements will reduce the risk of flooding to residential property and infrastructure. The County has hired WSP as the consulting engineer for this project.

Waterdale Park:
In 2021, work is starting on drainage improvements to mitigate the risk of flooding in the community. Residents may notice survey activities and inspections in the area. The County has hired WSP as the consulting engineer for this project.

The project involves assessing the existing wetlands and constructing a drainage ditch to improve drainage through the community. The concept of creating a pond facility in the reserve lot at the Northeast side of the community is being considered. A retention pond would hold the runoff from rain and snowmelt and slowly release it downstream.  These ponds can reduce the risk of flooding in the community.
