During the work on these gravel roadways, several public meetings will be held to share project updates. At these meetings, residents have the opportunity to hear an overview of the project, meet the project team and ask questions.
The first meeting was held online on Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 6 to 7 p.m.
A PDF of the presentation is available here.
Another opportunity to meet with the project team will take place after the contract is awarded and a schedule is established.

This summer, portions of the following gravel roadways are being reconstructed:
1. TWP 542 (RR 250 to RR 251)
2. RR 251 (Near View Drive, South to the St. Albert Boundary)
3. TWP 540 (RR 262 to RR 263)
The design stage is complete. In the next few weeks, the project will be sent to tender to ask contractors to bid on the work. The work is expected to be completed by Fall 2021.
Work on the roads will include:
Defining a crown to promote water shedding during rainfall
Building deeper defined ditches to catch and carry away water
Construct a road base with clay fill and topped with gravel
Please keep in mind that all work is weather dependant and schedules may change.
