Community Clean Up

Cleaning your community is a great way to get together and show some community spirit! Clean-up applications are open to all Sturgeon County residents for groups big and small.

By participating in a clean-up, you will receive a Sturgeon County hat and water bottle. We can also support you by providing access to one of our Clean-up Kits!

Inside is everything you will need for a safe and successful clean-up:

We can also supply road signs if you are conducting a clean-up on a county road, and 20-yard garbage bins for largescale initiatives. You can always get creative and combine your community clean-up efforts with a community event or block party.

  • *Please note that if you do require big bins, we will require two weeks notice to ensure the bins are available. 

    Big Bins do not accept the following materials: 

    • Whole tires 
    • Liquids 
    • Unsolidified Paint 
    • Friable Asbestos 
    • E-Waste (electronic waste including computers, monitors, and TV’s) 
    • Batteries 
    • Mercury Switches 
    • Thermostats 
    • Ammunition 
    • Radioactive, pressurized, volatile, highly flammable, toxic, hazardous or infectious materials.
  • Should you wish to include CFC’s (items containing Freon such as AC Units, dehumidifiers, refrigerators / freezers), a separate bin can be provided to collect these items.
