Repair to Pinnacle Ridge Walking Trail

1850

Division 6

This year, repairs are being made to the multi-use trail in the Pinnacle Ridge subdivision.

In 2019, a temporary repair was completed on a section of the walking trail that was compromised due to a sinkhole and erosion of the riverbank. The County has now designed a long-term solution that protects the Sturgeon River and maintains the walking trail for the community’s enjoyment.

The work sheduled includes:
-    Installation of two large underground storage tanks to help manage overland drainage in the area. These tanks will be covered with grass and landscaping.
-    Construction of a stormwater outfall to release the stormwater into the river
-    Moving the trail 5-10 m to the east, away from the riverbank
-    New fencing to ensure residents keep a safe distance from the riverbank
