How do we know Sturgeon County is growing in the right direction? Because of people like you.

Sturgeon County’s Economic Development Advisory Board will play an important role in advising Council on business-related issues in the county, including discussing supports for small and medium-sized businesses, diversification, development, and the upcoming commercial development analysis for Sturgeon County.

The board meets four times per year, and members are paid for their time at meetings.

Serving on the board is a great way to learn more about economic development in the County and the role of boards and committees in supporting Council decisions. Board experience is an impressive addition to your resume and can help to expand your network.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Current resident of Sturgeon County
  • Business background
  • Open to sharing and learning new ideas and business best practices
  • Available to attend meetings at least four times per year
  • Interested in learning more about Sturgeon County’s role and opportunities for economic development, locally and in the greater Edmonton region.

Deadline to apply is October 15, 2024.
