Application: River Valley Alliance (RVA) Community Engagement Committee

How do we create an unparalleled outdoor experience for hikers, bikers and nature enthusiasts? With help from people like you.

The River Valley Alliance is a not-for profit made up of the six shareholder municipalities that border the North Saskatchewan River in the Edmonton Metropolitan region. Its goal is to connect one continuous trail system from Devon to Fort Saskatchewan, approximately 100 km.

The Community Engagement Committee is an 18-member Standing Committee of the River Valley Alliance (RVA) and reports to the Board of Directors. It meets 12 times a year, and members are paid for their time at meetings.

Serving on the committee is a great way to learn more about the parks in the Edmonton region and the role of boards and committees. Committee experience is also an impressive addition to your resume and can help expand your network.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Resident of Sturgeon County
  • Keen interest in serving as an ambassador for Sturgeon County to champion plans, activities, and represent the RVA
  • Availability to attend meetings during the day/evening
  • Be a volunteer resource to support river-valley centered events, projects, public processes and other activities.

Deadline to apply is October 15, 2024.
