Application: Transportation Advisory Committee

How do we keep Sturgeon County moving in the right direction? With help from people like you.

The Transportation Advisory Committee plays an important role in advising Council on issues related to the maintenance, construction, and preservation of the County’s road infrastructure.

Areas of focus for the committee are gravel and paved roads, right-of-way maintenance, drainage improvements and road construction. The committee reviews and analyzes best practices and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency and work quality for Council’s consideration.

The committee meets six times per year, and members are compensated for their time at meetings. People who have served on the committee have found it to be a great way to learn more about transportation and the role of boards and committees in supporting Council.

Board experience is an impressive addition to your resume and can help expand your network.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Resident of Sturgeon County
  • Experience in road construction and/or drainage systems and maintenance
  • Open to working collaboratively, and in sharing and learning new ideas and best practices
  • Availability to attend meetings six times per year
  • Interested in the preservation and sustainability of Sturgeon County’s infrastructure
