Sturgeon County is inviting residents to help make a real difference, shaping our community by serving on a board or committee. This is a great opportunity to network, learn about local government, gain experience for your resume and offer your opinion on community matters. No previous experience serving on a board is needed to serve on a Council board or committee. Members are paid for their time and will receive training.
Community members are encouraged to submit their application(s) for a position on one of the following:
- Agricultural Service Board
- Agricultural Service Board – Junior Member
- Assessment Review Board
- Community Services Advisory Board (Division 5 and 6)
- Economic Development Advisory Board
- Sand & Gravel Advisory Committee
- Subdivision and Development Appeal Board
- Transportation Advisory Committee
- Youth Advisory Committee
- Naming Task Force
Each position has a different level of commitment, and the terms vary in length. Detailed information for each board and committee is available online at http://www.sturgeoncounty.ca/Boards.
