Celebrating small businesses during Small Business Week

Published on Oct 12, 2022

During Small Business Week – from Oct. 16 to 22 – Sturgeon County will be celebrating the more than 2,100 small businesses that call the County home.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and have demonstrated tremendous resiliency in recent years. We commend small business owners for their agility and for their continued contributions to our community and economy,” said Mayor Alanna Hnatiw.

The 2022 events mark the first time Sturgeon County has celebrated Small Business Week since 2019.

“We are excited to once again have small business owners join us for Small Business Week,” said Leanne McBean, Business Retention & Expansion Lead of Economic Innovation and Growth. “We are offering several events that will provide networking opportunities, connect business owners with valuable resources, and inspire entrepreneurial spirit.”
