Supporting Our Seniors

Support to Assist Residents with Aging in Place

Sturgeon County values supporting seniors with their ability to live in their home and community as independently and safely as possible.

Sturgeon County provides programs to support essential needs which may include financial services, food security, home supports, information, education, advocacy, recreational activities, safety, and transportation.

Our Outreach Program can assist residents with addressing barriers and support well-being by accessing available resources.

To access services, contact the Living Well Program at 780-722-1479 or email them.

Aging in Place Resources

Full or partial subsidies are available for Sturgeon County rate payers that are seniors or medically at risk adults who live in their own home. These subsidies provide supports like housekeeping, transportation, or frozen meals. Access to these supports can allow applicants to remain in their homes.  A home assessment will be required.
