Drop fibre (connects the access fibre to the premise)
- A crew will be working on the last three drops in the airport area.
- The southern part of Range Road 262 and a small portion of Glory Hills will be worked on when ATCO & Tidewater approve the crossing agreements. It is anticipated to be approximately mid-August for the pipeline companies to finish their end of the paperwork.
Splicing (connecting the fiber segments into one continuous length)
- Cable pulling is complete.
- Splicing along transport and access routes is complete.
ONT installation (the last step before service is available to a premise)
- Once your drop installation is complete you are ready to contact Canadian Fibre Optics Corporation to have your Optical Network Terminal (ONT) installed and activated, 1-888-236-2947
