Senior’s Week- Intro to Nordic Walking

Nordic Walking mimics cross-country skiing, but without the skis! It promotes good posture, burns MEGA CALORIES, provides exceptional stability on all sorts of terrain, and offloads stress from the lower body. It is a total body workout that utilizes virtually every muscle in your body in a gentle yet effective way. It is fabulous for all ages and gives you the confidence to get out and walk more in nature!
Bring your own poles if you have them. We will also have Canadian-made urban poles on hand for this demonstration for you to try. We will be walking and showing exercises that you can do with your poles to increase strength and stability even further!
