Project Highlights
The playground at Cardiff Park was identified as a priority for replacement in the ‘Parks Refresh’ public survey conducted in June 2022.
The existing wooden playground equipment has reached the end of its lifecycle and will be removed. It will be replaced with new equipment and two new benches.
Work was originally scheduled for November 2022, but inclement weather has pushed construction to Spring 2023.
The new playground will meet Canadian Safety Association standards for safety and accessibility. It features a play sand surface, is more accessible and is designed to encourage imaginative play and mobility for children from 18 months to five years old and beyond.
This project will cost $50,000 and expected to be completed in the Spring of 2023.
