Range Road 252 between Hwy 37 & Coal Mine Road – reconstruction and surfacing

Project Highlights

Work is underway to reconstruct and pave Range Road 252 between Highway 37 and Protective Services HQ.

A total of 2.4 km of roadway will be reconstructed and paved with asphalt. The scope of work includes:

  • Paving with hot mix asphalt
  • Drainage improvements
  • Culvert replacements within the entire road allowance
  • Intersection realignment at Range Road 252 and Coal Mine Road

The estimated cost of the work is $3.2 million.

  • November 22, 2022

    This project is now done and is covered by warranty.

  • September 27, 2022

    Construction is in progress.

  • September 6, 2022

    The first lift of asphalt placement is done for the entire project. A clean up crew is at the site and putting topsoil on fill slopes and finalizing the ditch grading and clean up. The final lift of asphalt is scheduled for early September 2022.

  • August 15, 2022

    The first lift of asphalt is done.

  • July 11, 2022

    The contract has been awarded. The project is scheduled for completion in 2022.
