Project Highlights
Sturgeon County manages about 144 bridge structures. Of these, 91 are bridge sized culverts, 39 are standard bridges, and 14 are classified as major bridges. The average age of the County’s bridges and bridge sized culverts is around 50 years old.
To ensure the safety of motorists, and to extend the life of the bridge structures, it is essential to carry out the required maintenance of the bridges with a bridge maintenance program.
This is classified as a standard bridge. Repairs to this bridge have been identified and will be scheduled for repairs in 2022.
Recommended repairs include the following:
- Strut repairs
- Concrete girder repair
- Pile repairs, banding, and shim
- Clean the bridge, curbs and windrows
