Infrastructure Master Plan

The Infrastructure Master Plan is a critical document focused on land-use. There are key linear infrastructure components including water, wastewater, stormwater, and transportation/road systems. The Master Plan will examine the effects of potential growth scenarios on each component of infrastructure and explore solutions to any deficiencies encountered.

Area Structure Plans

Area Structure Plans (ASP) are documents approved by Council as bylaws. An Area Structure Plan provides a framework that describes:

  • the proposed land uses
  • density of population sequence of development
  • general location of major roadways
  • public utilities in the area
  • any additional requirements that council may require

Off Site Levies

An offsite levy is a mechanism for municipalities to recover capital costs incurred for infrastructure improvements for new development or growth. Offsite levies transparently and equitably allocate offsite infrastructure capital costs to those that benefit – thus ensuring growth pays for growth.
