Flooding this spring has caused numerous road closures across Sturgeon County. These closures are in place to protect drivers and prevent damage to road infrastructure.
Flooded roads can hide serious hazards such as deep washouts, soft shoulders, strong currents, and damaged road that may not be visible through the water.
Driving around barricades puts your safety at risk and can lead to vehicle damage or becoming stranded.
We understand detours can be frustrating, but closures are there for a reason. Please follow all posted road closure signs and use an alternate route to help keep everyone safe.
Important: “Local Traffic Only” does not mean through traffic can pass the closure. It means residents must access their homes from the opposite side of the closure.
