Canada Post Service Disruption – Paying Your Utility Bills

Despite the possible Canada Post labour disruption, Utility accounts must still be settled by the due dates.

Utility customers already enrolled in e-billing will receive their invoice as they normally do via email. Utility customers signed up for pre-authorized debit do not need to take any action.

Make managing your utility account easy – sign up for e-billing or pre-authorized utility payments.

Utility customers who receive a paper bill have several options to find out, and pay, their current balance.

  • Visit County Centre in person to pay cash, cheque, money order, debit or credit card.
  • Call the County Centre at 780-939-4321. Staff can access the amount owing on your account. You can pay by credit card over the phone.
  • Email utilitybilling@sturgeoncounty.ca  to have your invoice emailed to you during the labour dispute.
  • Use the drop box at County Centre for cheques or money orders. Please do not leave cash.
  • Pay through online banking. Be sure to select Sturgeon County Utilities, then enter your full 8-digit account number, but do not include the decimal.

Visit the Accounts, Billing & Rates webpage for more details on how to pay your utility bill and avoid late fees.

Sign up for e-billing now!

It is not too late to sign up for e-billing for the November bill. Visit the Utility Account E-Billing Application webpage to get started. The service is free, convenient, and easy to sign up.

A fire restriction is in effect for Sturgeon County and the towns of Bon Accord, Legal and Redwater as of August 26, 2025.
