Rain barrels capture water from a roof and store it for later use on your lawn or garden. This is a great way to conserve water, and it is free water to use in your landscaping.
Sturgeon County offers rain barrels for sale to residents each spring through an online program. Each barrel holds 55 gallons (208 litres).
The rain barrels are available for purchase online starting February 25, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. for $80 each.
Pickup will be on April 22 from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
