Sturgeon County does not provide waste collection services. Residents are responsible for managing their waste pickup and disposal.
Sturgeon County landowners are provided with a permit to dispose of up to 8,000 kg of household waste and recycling per year at the Roseridge Landfill and the Redwater Transfer Station.
Visit the Roseridge Waste Management website for hours of operation and information on what is accepted for waste, recycling, and hazardous waste.
8,000 kg is approximately…
- as heavy as 12 cows! That’s a-moo-sing
- three times the size of a blue whale’s tongue
- 90 per cent of a T-rex
- the same weight as a garbage truck
