Road grading has started across the County after the significant rainfall over the past few days. In total, about 70-90 mm was reported across the region, including higher amounts in the northern areas. All graders were out as of Thursday morning, and crews are working extended shifts to improve the road conditions as quickly as possible. This work will continue as the conditions allow.
Please respect all road closure signs and detour as needed. Thank you for your patience as the work continues.
Following significant rainfall events, the County prioritizes gravel road grading through a triage approach that focuses first on public safety and road condition.
At the same time, operational routing and network efficiency are also important considerations. Crews are deployed in a manner that allows the County to restore the broader road network to good condition as efficiently and effectively as possible, while making the best use of available equipment and resources.
