Project Description
Planning is currently underway to create a new park space in Braun Village. Sturgeon County Council approved a $100,000 budget to add a multi-sports court that could accommodate a variety of games, sports, and activities.
In July 2023, we asked residents for their feedback about this plan and to share ideas for the space. That information was analyzed and summarized in our What We Heard Report. This report will be considered by Sturgeon County Council when making future decisions about this project.

On June 21, 2023, Sturgeon County met with residents at the Waugh Polish Recreational Society Hall to hear their thoughts on a new multi-sports court for the neighbourhood.
The feedback gathered helped create a park concept plan that includes the location and features most residents chose.
Now that the concept plan is ready, we can share more details with you, including the steps and timeline for development, what the site might look like in the future, and where different features will be located.
The first phase of building the multi-sports court will start this Fall. There is no timeline for phase 2 of the park.
