Pedestrian bridge replacement – Casa Vista (BF 85467)

The pedestrian bridge structure in the Casa Vista subdivision has been in service since 1980s. It is in poor condition and in need of major repairs and is currently closed for use. To ensure the safety of those using the bridge, and the surrounding environment, the County is planning a major rehabilitation to the structure in the upcoming construction season.

Project scope

The project involves removing and replacing the bridge supporting structure components, that includes new piles, abutment, wingwall and backwall. The existing concrete bridge deck will be removed repaired and reinstalled, new bridge rails will be installed, improved trail approaches to the bridge, and other work will be complete as part of this enhancement.

What this means to you

The bridge will be closed during the duration of the construction.
