Please Note: This is a continuation of the public hearing that commenced on May 9, 2023.
Sturgeon County Council is requesting public input on proposed Bylaw 1622/23. This Bylaw proposes to redistrict a portion of land within SW-28-54-27-4 from AG – Agriculture District to RE – ResourceExtraction District.
The public hearing will be held on:

Requirements for speakers/submissions
All speakers will be given a five-minute time limit and are encouraged to provide a written copy of their submission in advance of the public hearing.
In-person speakers
If you intend to participate in person, you are encouraged to pre-register for the public hearing by contacting Legislative Services at 780-939-8277 or 780-939-1377.
Speakers participating through videoconference
If you wish to speak at the public hearing via videoconference, you must register no later than May 22, 2023 at 2 p.m. by contacting Legislative Services at 780-939-8277 or 780-939-1377. This is to ensure that virtual participants receive instructions to access the videoconference.
Written Submissions
All interested parties are encouraged to express their views by providing a written submission to Legislative Services by email at legislativeservices@sturgeoncounty.ca. Written submissions will be accepted up to the close of the public hearing. Persons making written submissions are required to provide their name, identify their interest in the matter (for example, if they are a County resident directly affected by the proposed bylaw), and if they are in favour or opposed to the proposed bylaw.
