ALUS Funding Available

Now is the time to plan and establish your nature-based project on your farm or ranch with help from ALUS funding. Applications for funding are now being accepted.

ALUS is a charitable organization with an innovative community-developed and farmer-delivered program that produces, enhances, and maintains ecosystem services on agricultural lands.

ALUS provides expertise, resources and direct financial support to communities where farmers and ranchers build nature-based solutions on their land to deliver ecosystem services to sustain agriculture, help build community resilience and fight climate change and biodiversity loss for the benefit of future generations

Projects include livestock exclusion fencing, naturalizing flood prone cropland, wetland restoration and enhancement, riparian buffers, shelterbelts, and eco-buffers to provide cleaner water and air, habitat improvements, carbon sequestration, and climate resiliency.

For more information on project eligibility, please visit the ALUS page on the Sturgeon County website.

Sturgeon County offices will be closed for Monday, October 14. County offices and facilities will re-open Tuesday, October 15 for regular business hours 8:30AM - 4:30PM.
