An Epic Day of Golf, Community, and Philanthropy

On June 16, Sturgeon County hosted the Mayors Golf Tournament. The event seamlessly combined the love for golf, community spirit, and charitable endeavors as it took place on a picturesque day at the renowned Sturgeon Valley Golf and Country Club.

The tournament brought together a diverse mix of attendees, including industry professionals, local businesspeople, elected officials, and senior administration from neighbouring regions. It provided a unique opportunity for networking, fostering friendly competition and building relationships in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

Partners played a vital role in the success of the event, connecting with industry peers, potential clients, and businesses in other sectors while showcasing their brands. Partners were given prominent signage throughout the course, with our Platinum, Opportunity, and Innovation partners featured at key locations to generate valuable exposure. Tee Party partners engaged with golfers on the course through food, beverages, and fun on-course activities at their individual tents, adding to the overall experience.

We thank all our local partners and attendees who enjoyed the day as golfers, vendors and volunteers. After the carts were returned, scores were tallied and dinner was served, it was clear the event was a swinging success! Approximately 150 golfers were in attendance and helped us raise over $30, 000 for local food banks (Bon Accord – Gibbons, Morinville, Redwater Fellowship of Churches, and St Albert Community Village).

We are delighted to give back to the local community through this meaningful contribution. Join us next year for a chance to connect with new businesses, regional neighbors, and industry experts with a day on the green!
