Last year, we conducted the Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) Survey to better understand the needs of local businesses and learn how local business owners and operators view Sturgeon County as a place to do business. The findings were very positive, 90% of business owners/operators are satisfied with Sturgeon County as a place to own and operate a business.

With a primary focus on existing business, Leanne aims to provide targeted support, address concerns, and create an environment that encourages business start-up and expansion.
Through strategic initiatives, such as workforce development, access to funding, etc. her work area seeks to enhance overall economic vitality in Sturgeon County. Ultimately, her purpose is not only to retain existing business but also to actively contribute to their expansion. In turn, ensuring long-term economic prosperity and job creation within the municipality.
