Sturgeon County is holding a tax sale public auction on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 10 a.m. in Council Chambers.
Sturgeon County holds a public auction once per year to recover unpaid property taxes. This sale is in accordance with the Municipal Government Act.
The following list of properties is being offered at this year’s public auction.

Each parcel will be offered for sale subject to a reserve bid and the reservations and conditions contained in the existing certificate of title.
After the public auction, Sturgeon County may become the owner of any parcel of land not sold at the tax sale auction.
All sales at the public auction are subject to the terms of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, c. M-26 and the terms and conditions set by Sturgeon County.
Terms: A non-refundable down payment of 10% of the reserve bid is to be paid by cash, bank draft, or certified payment at the public auction, with the full payment to be made within 30 days following the auction.
To remove a property from the public auction, all of the outstanding property tax arrears must be paid in full to Sturgeon County in guaranteed funds BEFORE NOVEMBER 29, 2023.
