The Assessment Review Board is a quasi-judicial board that plays an important role in helping Sturgeon County meet its obligations under the Municipal Government Act.
This board includes public member representatives who hear appeals regarding property assessment.
The board meets as required and only if assessment appeals are filed by residents. Members are compensated for their time at meetings.
People who have served on the board have found it to be a great way to learn more about municipal property assessment and how various boards and committees support Council.

Eligibility requirements:
- Resident of Sturgeon County
- Keen interest in learning about property assessment, the Municipal Government Act, and other pertinent legislation
- Expertise in property appraisal and property assessment experience
- Availability to attend meetings during the day
- Ability to exercise impartiality
