The Subdivision and Development Appeal Board is a quasi-judicial board that plays an important role in helping
Sturgeon County meet its obligations under the Municipal Government Act.
This board includes public member representatives who hear appeals regarding property subdivision and
development.
The board meets as required and only if appeals are filed by residents. Members are compensated for their time
at meetings.

Eligibility requirements:
- Resident of Sturgeon County
- Keen interest in learning about Sturgeon County’s Land Use Bylaw, Municipal Development Plan, as well as the Municipal Government Act and other pertinent legislation.
- Availability to attend meetings during the day
- Ability to exercise impartiality
