Division Four Councillor Richard Boissonneault

Richard Boissonneault is honoured to serve as Councillor for Division 4, bringing lifelong roots in Sturgeon County and a strong dedication to local residents. A proud community advocate and business leader, Richard and his family have called Sturgeon County home for many years, building deep connections and understanding the needs of rural neighbourhoods.​​

Elected to Council in 2025, Richard’s focus is on strengthening services that matter most to residents — including road safety and maintenance, reliable infrastructure, and efficient delivery of municipal services. He is committed to representing Division 4 with openness, approachability, and practical problem-solving.

Richard’s priorities include:

  • Enhancing local roads and transportation networks for safe and efficient travel
  • Supporting responsible growth and maintaining Sturgeon County’s rural character
  • Advocating for fair and effective tax management
  • Bringing forward resident feedback to ensure responsive County decisions

Richard works to foster a collaborative spirit across Division 4, welcoming conversation with residents, local groups, and businesses. He believes in listening first and acting in the best interests of the community, helping build a vibrant, welcoming future for Sturgeon County.
