The Sturgeon County election team has released the official results of the October 20, 2025, municipal election, with Alberta Municipal Affairs substantiating the results.
Alanna Hnatiw has been re-elected as mayor of Sturgeon County, securing a third term, and incumbent councillors Kristin Toms, Deanna Stang, Jason Berry and Matthew McLennan have also returned for another term. Two new faces will be joining council—representing Division 1 is Amanda Papadopoulos and for Division 4, Richard Boissonneault.
The mayor and councillors will be taking part in the swearing-in ceremony at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, at Sturgeon County Centre, in Council Chambers. The ceremony will be live-streamed on the county’s Council Meetings webpage, for residents to watch.
