Sturgeon County launches survey to understand resident and business high-speed internet needs

Sturgeon County invites community members to actively participate in shaping the future of internet connectivity by completing a survey to gather valuable insights about their internet needs and usage patterns.

“High-speed internet has become an integral part of our daily lives, impacting education, business, healthcare, and communication,” said Mayor Alanna Hnatiw. “Sturgeon County recognizes the significance of reliable high-speed internet in fostering economic growth, enabling efficient public services, and improving overall quality of life. We have already invested $7.55 million in broadband to date, and now we’re seeking community input to identify connectivity gaps and determine actions to ensure equitable access to digital opportunities.”

Sturgeon County is asking residents, business owners, and other stakeholders to participate in a brief survey. The survey seeks to gather information about current internet services and the ways in which increased access to high-speed internet could improve daily activities.

The survey is available starting Monday, August 21 and closes at 4:30pm on September 29.
