Sturgeon County is excited to announce the return of County Bounty, our annual summer event that celebrates rural life and our agricultural roots on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Cardiff Park. It will be a full day of activities, entertainment, and old-fashioned fun for the whole family. While the event is free to attend, we strongly encourage visitors to bring a cash or food donation for our local food banks, which will be collected at the entrance gate.
This year’s County Bounty will pay tribute to Sturgeon County’s agricultural roots and community-minded spirit. Residents and visitors will enjoy a variety of activities that celebrate traditions. Remember those prized Blue Ribbon jam and pickle contests from years ago? Residents are encouraged to dust their family recipes off and enter one of the categories! County Bounty is also a time to celebrate community, and what better way to do that than to acknowledge the efforts of our first responders.
Sturgeon County is grateful for our firefighters and their efforts during the recent Redwater Recreation Area Wildfire. County Bounty will kick off with a free Firefighter and Emergency Services Appreciation Pancake Breakfast for the first 500 visitors. Visitors are encouraged to sign the giant card to show their appreciation.
Other attractions this year include:
- Kids’ Zone featuring midway games, bouncy castles and old-fashioned games like burlap sack races
- A petting zoo and pony rides
- Learn to square dance and line dance
